Confidentiality

Albright Clinics, LLC, has the ethical and legal obligation to protect your legal right for information given during psychotherapy sessions to be kept completely private. We are dedicated to keep your confidentiality, according to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). To ensure this confidentiality, we have business associate agreements (BAA) in place with electronic medical records, email services, video conferencing platforms, and marketing services who also maintain your personal and medical data private. There are several conditions under which this right may be superseded, such as in the present of an imminent threat to one’s life; abuse or neglect of a child, dependent adult, or elder; lawsuits; when utilizing insurance; and to collect debts. For more information about what HIPAA means for you, please refer to the HIPAA NOTICE OF PRIVACY PRACTICES, which details the considerations regarding confidentiality, privacy, and your records.
